Swine fever virus purification and - concentration
Swine fever virus solutions contng undesired proteins are subjected to fractional precipitation with solutions (pref. 50% solns) of polyethylene glycol (mol. wt. pref. 1000-2000), pref. at pH 7-9 (esp 8.5) and at between 0 degree C and room temp. (pref. ca 4-5 degrees C). The process yields a fracti...

Zusammenfassung: | Swine fever virus solutions contng undesired proteins are subjected to fractional precipitation with solutions (pref. 50% solns) of polyethylene glycol (mol. wt. pref. 1000-2000), pref. at pH 7-9 (esp 8.5) and at between 0 degree C and room temp. (pref. ca 4-5 degrees C). The process yields a fraction consisting of practically pure virus antigen and a small amount of polyethylene glycol (other fractions contain only inert protein). which can be stored and/or converted into vaccines which are more active and less allergenic than commercial vaccines. |
