An ink supply port extends through wall of second chamber to supply ink to an exterior of the cartridge.A funnel shaped packing member is provided within ink supply port. The member is formed with a through opening and having wise end and narrow end and being dimensioned to receive ink supply needle on ink jet recording appts. The member also resiliently abuts against outer periphery of the ink supply needle. The packing member is used for preventing flow of ink through ink supply port other than ink supply needle
