According to the invention, in order to be able to produce such an arrangement comparatively cheaply, the control circuit (9) is designed such that it actuates the switching arrangement (7) according to information (I1) to be transmitted to the secondary side of the switched mode power supply (4). An evaluation circuit (14) which detects the primary information (I1) is connected to a point of the circuit between the secondary winding (w2) of the translator (6) and the conventional rectifier element (10). Provided on the secondary side of the switched mode power supply (4) is a transmitter (18) which switches the load of the secondary winding (w2) to low impedance according to information (secondary information (I2)) to be transmitted to the primary side (2) of the switched mode power supply (4) when the circuit arrangement is open; one end (E) of the primary winding (w1) is connected to an evaluation component (23) which detects the secondary information (I2).
