Zusammenfassung:A process for the prodn. of thermoplastic polyurethane (PU) elastomers (I) from polyisocyanate(s) (A) and a mixt. (B) contg. Zerewitinoff-reactive H atoms (active H), comprising (1) 1-85 equiv.% (w.r.t. NCO gps. in A) of cpd(s). with at least 1.8 active H (on average) and a mol. wt. of 400-10,000, (2) 15-99 equiv.% chain extender(s) with at least 1.8 active H and a mol. wt. of 62-400 and opt. (3) 0-20 wt% (w.r.t. total amt. of I) other conventional additives, etc. (C). The process comprises (a) homogeneously mixing (A) and (B) in a static mixer under conditions such that no reaction occurs and (b) transferring the mixt. to a sec. static mixer in which (A) and (B) react together. Also claimed are thermoplastic PU elastomers (I) obtd. by this process.
