In the device for testing the cam offset, the pressure curves of the fuel conveyed occurring in th eindividual injection pipes are detected by means of pressure sensors in the form of conveyance signal sensors (FSS) allocated to each individual injection pipe and transmitted in the form of standardised pressure variation curves (D) to an evaluation device (AE). The angle of rotation of the injection pump camshaft can be dynamically determined by means of an angle of rotation detector (DE), which transmits a corresponding signal to the evaluation device (AE). From the standardised pressure variation curves (D) of the individual injection pipes, the feed starts (FB) in the time sequence is registered and together with the signal from the angle of rotation detector (DE) and also the spread of the angles of rotation determined on the basis of the successive feed start times of the various injection pipes. The differences in angle of rotation are transmitted to a display device (AZ) and suitably displayed thereon.
