[Also in Division B2] An electrostatic spray-device for the development of electro-photographic images comprises an annular electrode 1 which is rotated in a vertical plane by guide rollers 2-4 and supplied at its lower extremity with developing liquid 8 which is electrostatically atomized at its upper extremity and directed towards an earthed plate 10. The annular electrode 1 may itself dip into the liquid to collect it, or a guide roller (11), Fig. 3 (not shown) may be located below the ring and dip into the liquid to supply it to the electrode. The third roller 4 removes excess liquid from the electrode. The liquid is contained in a closed metal container which is connected to a high tension source 9. The spraying may be performed in an atmosphere of dichlorodifluoromethane either by enclosing the apparatus containing the gas or by supplying the gas radially of the atomizing electrode 1 by means of semicircular plates (14), Fig.4 (not shown).
