Zusammenfassung: | 1,151,644. Calculating apparatus. VICTOR COMPTOMETER CORP. 7 June, 1967 [7 June, 1966], No. 26190/67. Heading G4B. A motor driven calculating machine comprises a plurality of function control keys 20, 22, 24, and 26, a slide 46 movable against a spring 52 to close a switch 44 in the motor circuit, and spring-loaded pivotally mounted members 126, 182, 220 and 292 normally held in their inoperative positions by latches 118, 174, 212 and 284 respectively, each latch being connected to a corresponding function control key whereby operation of a function control key releases the corresponding latch from its associated member which pivots to move slide 46 forwardly and close the switch 44. The members 126, 182, 220 and 292 co-operate with abutments 98, 100, 102 and 104 on the slide 46. The function control keys are connected to the latches by cross-bars 114, 170, 208 and 280 and are held in a depressed position through interengagement of the latches and pivotally mounted members. The slide includes a projection 64 acting through linkage 68, 76 and 90 to close the switch 44. Subtotal and total taking.-When an amount is set up on the keyboard, a lug enters a notch 152 in bar 144 to prevent subtotal or total taking. The members 126, 182 carry blocking pins 136, 188 engaging spring-loaded bellcranks 140, 192 respectively. The bar 144 is connected to bell-cranks 140, 192 through pin-and-slot connections 142, 146 and 193, 194 respectively. Operation of the add-subtotal key 20 or add-total key 22 causes the bar 144 to move to the left, in the absence of an entry on the keyboard, to initiate a subtotal or total cycle. Non-add.-Member 292 carries a pin 298 engaging an arm 304 of a pivotally mounted bail 302. A second arm 306 has a pin 308 cooperating with plate 310. When non-add key 26 is depressed, the plate 310 is released to the action of spring 312. The lower edge 311 of plate 310 moves to block movement of the totalizer. Symbol printing.-The members 220 and 292 carry pins 224 and 314 engaging spring-loaded pivotally mounted levers 234 and 316, respectively. The lower ends 238 and 318 of the levers engage notches in arms 242 and 322 pivotally mounted on shaft 244. The outer ends 250 and 326 of the arms engage a stepped stud 252 on a pivotally mounted member 254. The member 254 includes a roller 256 engaging a cam 258 on the main drive shaft. The shaft 244 is secured to a plate 262 fixed on a rotatable shaft 264. An arm 266 also fixed on shaft 264 operates a link 270 |
