Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method and device for producing synthetic fibres. In said method, a plurality of extruded fibre strands are guided through a temperature-controlled treatment medium in order to be cooled, heated, fixed and/or dried. In order to produce the fibres in a particularly energy-efficient manner, according to the invention the treatment medium is at least partially generated from a waste gas stream of a small-scale CHP unit. To this end, the treatment device is connected to the small-scale CHP unit via a waste gas line.
