Zusammenfassung:	The water carrying domestic appliance has a drain pump with an impeller (3) by which fluid is delivered. The drain pump has a separate chamber (6) which in relation to the direction of the delivered fluid is located behind the impeller and which has holes (7,7') radially on its outside diameter (11) and also in the vicinity of its inside diameter (12). The separate chamber is located as close as possible to the pump impeller. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a drain pump for a domestic appliance which may be a dishwasher or washing machine.
