DOLLAR A Um eine einfache, rasche und zuverlässige Messeung und/oder Überwachung von Prozeßschritten zu ermöglichen, wird zum Messen und/oder Überwachen wenigstens eines der Prozeßschritte, die innerhalb einer Bearbeitungsmaschine ablaufen, wenigstens ein Bildverarbeitungssystem herangezogen. In seinem Erfassungsbereich liegt die Meß- und/oder Überwachungsstelle. Das Bildverarbeitungssystem erzeugt entsprechende Signale, die einer Einrichtung zugeführt werden können. DOLLAR A Das Verfahren und die Vorrichtung werden vorteilhaft bei Maschinen zur Bearbeitung von Kurbelwellen, Nockenwellen oder ähnlichen Werkstücken eingesetzt.
