The invention relates to chromium steel which has a high resistance to corrosion and a high resistance to wear while having an improved electrochemical anisotropy and workability, consisting of 0.3 to 0.55% carbon, 0.04 to 0.25% nitrogen, 0.20 to 0.90% silicon, 0.30 to 0.90% manganese, up to 0.03% sulfur, 15 to 18% chromium, 0.5 to 2% molybdenum, 0.10 to 0.40% tungsten, 0.50 to 1.00% nickel, 0.10 to 0.45% vanadium, 0.01 to 0.15% niobium, up to 0.05% titanium, 0.05 to 0.50% copper, up to 0.40% rare earth metals, 0.005 to 0.030% aluminum, up to 0.15% zirconium, up to 0.02% boron, up to 0.035% phosphor, and residual iron including smelting-related impurities. The chromium steel has a special suitability, in particular for producing shaving foils or thin sheets, in particular for perforated foils, lattice foils, filter insert, separating screens, and filtration trommel screens. |
