Um den Fertigungsausschuss bei der Herstellung der Batteriezellen (10) zu reduzieren, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass eine zum Verpressen der Batteriezelle (10) verwendete Presskraft (21) überwacht (4) und der Pressvorgang (3) in Abhängigkeit von der Presskraft (21) gestoppt (4, 6) wird.
