Zusammenfassung:The system (1) has a franking control component (21) for franking of printouts or envelopes based on a part of postal data correlated with an address data that are transmitted and/or locally stored in a system central unit (3). A delivery control component (23) determines a delivery path (P) for the envelopes based on a part of delivery path data that are transmitted and/or locally stored in the system central unit, and controls a delivery to a selective delivery unit. A status report controlling unit (26) controls a status report at the system central unit after delivery to the delivery unit. Dokumentenversandsystem zum mindestens in einem ersten Abschnitt elektronischen und in mehreren parallelen zweiten Abschnitten physischen Versand von Dokumenten, insbesondere von in einem rein elektronischen Rechnungserstellungssystem erstellten Rechnungen, unter Mitführung von die Unverfälschheit der Dokumente sichernder Authentizitätsinformation und unter Rückmeldung des Übermittlungs-Status.
