An optical measuring system measures the waviness of the belt strap section and has a line camera to detect projection of waviness of the section as measure for the waviness of the strap. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Erfassung der Welligkeit eines Sicherheitsgurtbandes eines Kraftfahrzeugs. DOLLAR A Erfindungsgemäß wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Vorrichtung Spannmittel zum Einspannen eines zu untersuchenden Abschnitts des Sicherheitsgurtbandes mit einer definierten Zugkraft aufweist.
