In the present invention, there is disclosed a sealing insulating strip containing two components, i.e. a polymer composed of an ethylene monomer and at least one co-monomer selected from the group consisting of vinyl esters of a alkane carboxylic acid containing 2 to 3 carbon atoms and acrylic acid alkyl esters having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, wherein the amount of the co-monomer in said polymer is at least 27 percent by weight, and a polyolefin or a mixture of several polyolefins in an amount of at least 10 percent by weight of the insulating strip total weight. The production of the above-described insulating strip is carried especially by calendering. |
