Zusammenfassung:By dosing of acrylic acid and alcohol solutions, containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms per molecule, possibly diluted with water, together with an initiator of polymerisation to a boiling receiver, consisting of alcohol at the same concentration, solutions of polyacrylic acids with medium molecular mass from M = 1,000 to 100,000 are prepared. During polymerisation alcohol is removed from the reactor, or its constant-boiling mixture with water, whereas the distilled alcohol is aligned with the speed of dripping of the acid solution. Initial raw materials can also be solutions of acrylic acid alkaline salts.
