The invention provides a bridge abutment structure which comprises a bridge abutment foundation, an overlying structure and a settlement control device, the bridge abutment foundation comprises an endbearing friction pile, a concrete foundation cushion layer and a bridge abutment bearing platform, and the pile top of the end bearing friction pile penetrates through the cushion layer and is embedded into the bottom of the bridge abutment bearing platform. The pile tops of the end bearing friction piles are connected with the abutment bearing platform through the settlement control device, theupper covering structure comprises an abutment body, an abutment rear section, an abutment cap and a bridge plate, the settlement control device comprises a secondary pouring pile head and a deformation controllable device, the secondary pouring pile head is poured on the end bearing friction piles, and the deformation controllable device is connected with the abutment bearing platform through thesettlement control device.
