The authentication unit comprises a reader used for reading elevator cards, a fingerprint recognizer used for recognizing fingerprints, a processor and an authentication data register electrically connected with the processor, the enabling end of the processor is connected to the reader and the fingerprint recognizer, and the output end of the processor is connected to the intelligent gateway unit. The complex wiring work does not need to be carried out, and therefore the number of data lines in an elevator is reduced, wire winding, wire staggering and other messy phenomena cannot happen in the connecting process of all components, equipment faults can be reduced, and equipment maintenance operation can be facilitated.
