The thermocouple comprises a hot-end protective tube, a cold-end protective tube and an adjustable flange. The adjustable flange is located at the rear end of the cold-end protective end and holds the thermocouple. The bottom of the hot-end protective tube is an arc test-tube-like tube. The top of the hot-end protective tube is at least 500mm far away from a hot end of the thermocouple and is welded to the front end of the cold-end protective tube. The thermocouple has the advantages that protection for a thermocouple core is improved greatly, stability in temperature detection is improved, service life of the thermocouple is prolonged, cost is reduced, and operating strength of the thermocouple is also reduced.
