Zusammenfassung:There is disclosed a technique for generating a user-friendly service manual and improving efficiency of the data processing concerning a service manual. According to the technique, an XML service manual generation control unit (1000) acquires various types of non-structured data and generates structured data from the various non-structured data. Here, according to a structure definition (DTD) specified for various non-structured data, the structured data is generated. Moreover, document information is converted into structured data of the XML format while graphic information is converted into structured data of the SVG format. Thus, it is possible to automatically correlate elements in the document and elements in the graph and generate an XML service manual in which linkage between information is accurately executed. Moreover, when using the XML service manual, additional information concerning a comment and setting modification inputted by a user is also converted into data structured by a predetermined structure definition.
