Embedded far remote central maintenance device and method

This invention discloses an inserted remote centralized maintenance device and a method including a system control microprocessor, a surrounding storing and expanding circuit connected with the microprocessor by a data bus and an address bus, a network interface circuit and a serial communication interface circuit, in which, an uclinux operation system operates on said hardare platform with a complete TCR/IP protocol stack, in the period of start up, the system reads IP address and MAC address data from the stored chip then to configure the network parameters of the IP address and the MAC address then to operate the core software of the system automatically, data are transmitted with the site maintained host and the central monitor host via the network interface to finish the central maintenance software download operation and parameter configuration then the center host can carry out remote maintenance.
