Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a method for production of reconstituted rat embryos by nuclear transfer including the following steps: (a) removal of a rat ovocyte and maintenance in an appropriate medium; b) insertion of a rat cell nucleus into the recipient rat ovocyte previously maintained in vitro to obtain a reconstituted ovocyte (nuclear transfer); (c) activation of the reconstituted ovocyte obtained in step b) to obtain a reconstituted embryo. The invention further relates to the rats obtained thus, in the foetal or adult state, as well as use thereof for the production of molecules of interest or as study models.
