Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a method for compressing laser pulse duration by utilizing organic film capable of absorbing UV light. It is mainly characterized by that the ultraviolet pulse laser can be focussed on the organic film capable of absorbing ultraviolet light, the produced plasma can absorb and scatter the laser self-body so as to can implement compression of laser pulse duration. Said invention is simple in device structure and convenient in operation, and can utilize the change of film thickness and focussed energy density (0.1-1 J/sq.cm) of laser to obtain pulse duration compression with different extents.
