description | Example wearable devices including conductive deformable fabrics are described herein. The conductive deformable fabric has a non-malleable fixed length of conductive traces along a first axis, and the conductive traces are stitched into the fabric structure to produce a conductive deformable material. The fabric structure includes a stitch pattern that promotes the conductive trace to unfold and fold in an oscillating manner to allow the conductive trace to stretch and contract along the first axis, respectively, without exceeding a fixed length of the conductive trace. An electrically conductive deformable material is positioned within the wearable device such that when the wearable device is worn, the stitch pattern is positioned over a joint of a user to allow the stitch pattern to stretch or contract as the joint moves.
