Zusammenfassung: | Disclosed herein are novel single strand antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) that are capable of reducing the transcription of a messenger RNA (mRNA) of a protein 5 (TXNDC5) that contains a thioredoxin domain, and a method for the production of the antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) that is capable of reducing the transcription of the messenger RNA (mRNA) of the protein 5 (TXNDC5) that contains a thioredoxin domain, and a use of the antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) that is capable of reducing the transcription of the messenger RNA (mRNA) of the TXNDC5 (TXNDC5) that contains a thioredoxin domain. Meanwhile, the invention also discloses application of the disclosed ASOs to preparation of drugs suitable for treating related diseases caused by TXNDC5 up-regulation. Thus, also provided herein is a pharmaceutical composition comprising the ASO molecule; and methods of treating a patient suffering from a TXNDC5-mediated disease by administering to the patient the aforementioned single strand of ASO molecules.
