In one method, acquisition point cloud data and map point cloud data of a physical environment are respectively acquired, the acquisition point cloud data being acquired by an acquisition device in the physical environment. An object point cloud representing a set of physical objects in the physical environment is determined based on the acquired point cloud data. Based on the object point cloud and a map object point cloud representing a set of physical objects in the map point cloud data, a difference between a coordinate system of the collected point cloud data and a coordinate system of the map point cloud data is determined. And in response to determining that the difference is higher than the preset threshold value, calibrating external parameters of the acquisition equipment by utilizing the map point cloud data.
