There is provided a display device including: a display element including a first emission layer disposed on a substrate and a second emission layer disposed on the first emission layer; a first cover layer disposed on the display element; a second cap layer disposed on the first cap layer; a thin film encapsulation layer including a lower inorganic encapsulation layer in contact with the second cap layer; and a light blocking layer disposed on the thin film encapsulation layer and including an opening corresponding to the emission area of the display element.
