The method mainly comprises the following steps: collecting past bridge engineering project data; preprocessing the data; utilizing the processed data to establish a proper neural network model; training and optimizing the model by using the training set data; verifying and testing the model by using the verification set data and the test set data; performing safety assessment on the bridge structure by using the trained model; feeding back the adjustment model according to the actual bridge structure safety condition; the evaluation result is applied to practice to make decisions such as maintenance, transformation and demolition on the bridge; recording a new bridge structure safety assessment result and updating data for next assessment; a continuous monitoring system is established, and evaluation is conducted regularly or according to needs.
