The preparation method comprises the following steps: contacting a salt solution for precipitation with a precipitant aqueous solution and carrying out co-precipitation while controlling the reaction temperature to be 40-80 DEG C and the pH value to be 6-8; after the coprecipitation is finished, aging is optionally carried out; and filtering the obtained precipitate to obtain a filter cake, washing the filter cake, then drying the filter cake, and roasting at 300-500 DEG C to obtain the reverse water gas shift catalyst.
