The invention provides an asynchronous processing method and system for video migration, a computer and a storage medium, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining video object metadata of a metadata management service, and carrying out the erasure coding processing of the video object metadata; the thread pool obtains the current capacity of a cache region of each disk in a disk group, and counts the number of disks with the current capacity of the cache region exceeding a preset capacity in the disk group; whether the number of the disks exceeding the preset capacity is smaller than a threshold value or not is judged, and if the number of the disks exceeding the preset capacity is smaller than the threshold value, first preset time is delayed, and the video object metadata obtained after erasure coding processing is migrated to the cache region; and migrating the video object metadata in the cache region to the disk according to a migration process, and enabling the whole erasure coding operation to be
