APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING SOUND OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE

An apparatus and method for generating sound of an electric vehicle are provided. The apparatus includes: a detection device configured to detect state information of a vehicle; a sound output device configured to play and output the virtual sound; and the processing device is connected with the detection device and the sound output device. The processing device is configured to detect a turning state of the vehicle based on state information of the vehicle, analyze a longitudinal force, a lateral force, a tire slip rate, and a tire slip angle according to the turning state, calculate a turning force based on an analysis result, calculate a contact force based on a tire ground plane and a road profile based on big data, and transmit the calculated contact force to the vehicle.
