A reference clock signal is generated by taking a high-precision clock source as a reference clock; the method comprises the following steps: detecting a rising edge and a falling edge of a detected signal shaped into a square wave signal by using a reference clock to obtain a quantized output bit stream of the detected signal, demodulating the bit stream and reducing a signal output rate to obtain demodulated data, and processing the demodulated data to obtain the frequency of the detected signal.
