The preparation problem of the high-dispersion spherical iridium powder with the uniform and small particle size and the controllable particle size is solved. When the iridium powder is prepared, high-dispersion spherical precursor precipitation powder with the controllable particle size is obtained by regulating and controlling the molar ratio of sulfate ions to iridium ions in a solution, and then the precursor precipitation powder is calcined in the hydrogen atmosphere to obtain the high-dispersion spherical iridium powder with the particle size smaller than 1 micron.
