Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to the technical field of octanol preparation, and discloses a method for preparing octanal from octenal, and the method comprises the following steps: in the presence of a catalyst, octenal is contacted with hydrogen to carry out hydrogenation reaction; wherein the catalyst is prepared by the following steps: (1) providing alumina microspheres, the particle diameter of which is 200-800 [mu] m, and the coefficient of variation of which is 3-8%; (2) mixing the alumina microspheres with sugar, and carbonizing to obtain a carrier; and (3) loading the transition metal active component on the carrier.
