SELF-STOP TISSUE ANCHOR

A tissue anchor (12, 12 ') includes an anchoring portion (34) and a crown portion (38) coupled thereto. In the first state, the anchor head is sealingly disposed within the socket such that a torque applied to the driver interface is transmitted to the anchor portion to facilitate screwing the anchor portion into tissue. Screwing the anchor portion into tissue distally pulls the anchor head out of the socket, thereby transitioning the anchor to a second state in which torque applied to the driver interface rotates the socket relative to the anchor head and the anchor portion.
