The invention provides a system and a method for testing the deformation failure form and the ultimate bearing capacity of an anchor rod support metal net. The system comprises a test supporting device, a load applying device, a force measuring device and a boundary condition applying device. The test supporting device is used for installing and fixing a metal net to be tested; the load applying device is used for applying load to the mounted and fixed metal net; the force measuring device is used for collecting stress-strain data of metal net monitoring points; the boundary condition applying device is arranged on the test supporting device and used for applying boundary conditions to the metal net.
