Hardware-based fault scanner for detecting faults in homogenous processing units

Apparatuses, systems, and techniques are described for detecting a fault in a processing pipeline. An accelerator circuit includes a fixed function circuit that performs an operation corresponding to a neural network layer. The fixed function circuit comprises a group of homogeneous processing units and a fault scanning circuit.
