The invention discloses an antibacterial sealant and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method of the antibacterial sealant comprises the following steps: (1) soaking polyurethane/hydroxyapatite composite microspheres in a folium artemisiae argyi extracting solution to prepare FA-PU/HAPs; (2) homogenizing a surfactant, chitosan and an antibacterial agent, and then adding a sodium tripolyphosphate solution to prepare an antibacterial agent-chitosan emulsion; (3) homogenizing acrylic acid, acrylamide, FA-PU/HAPs and pigments and fillers, and then adding a defoaming agent, a cross-linking agent and an initiator to react to prepare an FA-PU/HAPs/sodium polyacrylate-acrylamide composite sample; and (4) sequentially adding an antibacterial agent-chitosan emulsion, a plasticizer, an anti-cracking agent, a brightening agent and a coalescing agent into the FA-PU/HAPs/sodium polyacrylate-acrylamide composite sample, and homogenizing the obtained mixture to obtain the antibacterial sealant.
