The method comprises the following steps: firstly, configuring an initial period by a base station; then obtaining the number of the UE accessing the base stations in each set time period; when the number of the UE in the current time period is smaller than the minimum access threshold value of the UE, recording the current time period as a non-busy time period, and adjusting the SSB period to a set period; otherwise, adjustment is not carried out. According to the scheme, resource waste can be reduced, and frequent scheduling of the SSB and the SIB is reduced. 本发明涉及一种智能调整SSB周期的装置和方法，其是首先基站配置初始周期；之后获取各个设定时间段UE接入基站的数量；当当前时间段的UE的数量小于UE的接入最小门限值，则将该当前时间段记为非繁忙时间段，则对SSB周期进行调整至设定周期；反之，不进行调整。即本发明的方案能够减少资源浪费，并且减少频繁调度SSB和SIB。
