Adhesive articles are provided that include a silicone adhesive and a substrate, and a primer layer interposed between the silicone adhesive and the substrate. The primer layer includes a polymer having a polyorganosiloxane pendant group P represented by formula (I) wherein each R1 is independently an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group, an arylalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, or an aryl group substituted by an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, or a halogen group; r2 is an alkyl or alkenyl group; r3 is an alkylene or arylene alkyl group; and n is an integer in the range of 1 to 20.
