The rail robot can walk along a preset rail in a tunnel and comprises a walking mechanism, a follow-up support, a stretching mechanism, an information collecting assembly and a controller, and the information collecting assembly is fixed to a stretching rod of the stretching mechanism. When the robot walks along the track, the stretching rod is folded longitudinally, is not limited by space and obstacles, and can quickly reach a designated position.
