Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses application of a SmHD-Zip12 gene in increasing the content of tanshinone, and belongs to the technical field of gene engineering. The nucleotide sequence of the SmHD-Zip12 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO. 1, and the amino acid sequence of the protein coded by the SmHD-Zip12 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO. 2. The tanshinone is at least one or more than two of cryptotanshinone, dihydrotanshinone I, tanshinone I and tanshinone IIA. The invention further provides a method for increasing the content of tanshinone in the hairy roots of salvia miltiorrhiza bunge. According to the invention, the SmHD-Zip12 gene is successfully transformed into salvia miltiorrhiza hairy roots by using a genetic engineering means to obtain SmHD-Zip12 overexpressed hairy roots, and research finds that the gene can improve the biosynthesis of tanshinone. The method disclosed by the invention has important industrial value for accelerating breeding of a new salvia miltiorrhiza variety with high yield of tanshinone.
