System and method for night delivery of mobile robot

The present disclosure provides a system and method for nighttime delivery of a mobile robot. A nighttime delivery system is configured to provide delivery of parcels in low light or no light conditions during nighttime periods using a multi-mode autonomous and remotely controllable delivery robot. The system involves using a baseline illumination system on the robot chassis with variable light intensity from a single flash lamp and strong illumination to thermal imaging using an infrared camera.
