Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method for preparing 3-methyl-4-nitrobenzoic acid by using microorganisms and belongs to the technical field of biochemical engineering. The invention provides a recombinant Escherichia coli strain which is E. coli BL21-pRSFDuet-1-L163W, a nucleotide sequence of the recombinant Escherichia coli strain is shown as SEQ ID NO: 3, a corresponding amino acid sequence of the recombinant Escherichia coli strain is shown as SEQ ID NO: 4, and the invention also provides application of the recombinant Escherichia coli strain in preparation of the 3-methyl-4-nitrobenzoic acid. The invention provides a process for preparing and producing the 3-methyl-4-nitrobenzoic acid through a microbiological method. The problem that in the prior art, a catalyst and an oxidizing agent are high in price or serious in pollution or potential safety hazards exist in a production process is solved.
