| Zusammenfassung: | The pressure protection system uses rapid-closure pressure protection valves (12,13) with a variable opening cross-section and bypass ventilators (10,11) in parallel with the pressure protection valves having a sharp characteristic gradient. Pref. the opening cross-section of the pressure protection valves is reduced when the railway carriage is sparsely occupied, to allow ingress of the required amount of fresh air, with rapid closure to prevent a pressure wave entering the carriageable, the parallel bypass providing a limited quantity of fresh air sufficient to maintain the air quality within the carriage. Pref. the ventilation is controlled by an electronic microcontroller. |
