Zusammenfassung:	Systems and methods for opening a file via a user device. One system includes an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to receive a request to open the file, determine a file type of the file, determine an application installed on the user device configured to open files of the file type, and determine a version of the application installed on the user device.
