The method comprises the following steps of: S1, sealing a smoke outlet to converge flue gas; and S2, introducing external airflow, and forming a treatment area through the external airflow to treat the flue gas in the treatment area. The device comprises a smoke guide cylinder which is connected with the external smoke outlet and communicates with the external smoke outlet, and an airflow sealing body connected with one end of the smoke guide cylinder, wherein an air inlet is formed in one side of the airflow sealing body. According to the flue gas treatment method and device provided by the invention, the flue gas is combusted in the treatment area, and harmful substances in the flue gas are further combusted and eliminated,so that the content of the harmful substances in the exhausted air is reduced, and the air is prevented from being polluted by the harmful substances directly exhausted into the air.
