The method comprises the following steps: weighing 1 mmol of terephthalaldehyde (TPA) and dissolving the TPA into 5 mL of N',N'-dimethylformamide; adding 25 mL of absolute methanol, completely dissolving the components, adding 2 mmol of 2-amino-4-methylphenol (MPA),sealing the reactor with a sealing film, carrying out an ultrasonic reaction for a period of time, carrying out standing treatment at room temperature for 2-3 days, carrying out reduced pressure suction filtration, washing the reaction product with absolute methanol, and drying the reaction product with CaCl2 in vacuum to obtain yellow Schiff base single crystals.
