A novel morpholine amide compound is provided as a synthetic intermediate of an effective production method of solanone by subjecting N-(3-methyl-1-butenyl)piperidine to a Michael addition reaction using 4-acryloyl morpholine, generating a novel aldehyde by subsequent acid hydrolysis, and subjecting the aldehyde to a Wittig reaction.
