FACTS technology based STATCOM hierarchical protection strategy

The invention relates to a FACTS technology based STATCOM hierarchical protection strategy. The strategy includes three parts which are device level protection, valve unit level protection and systemlevel protection; the device level protection is integrated in an IGBT drive adapter board, and the valve unit level protection is integrated in a sub-control board; and the system level protection performs logic judgment on abnormal electrical parameters in a current working condition and provides protection measures.
